100 - Glassine Envelope #1 - ACID FREEsize 1 3/4
" x 2 7/8"
Glassine semi-transparent envelopes, used by the U.S. Post Office for stamps purchased at the P.O. counters, are the ideal storage solution for stamp collectors. Glassines are also recommended for the storage of negatives and plates from electron microscopes, and temporary storage of seeds and etymology specimens. Scott Numbers and identifying information can be written on these envelopes, but we recommend that writing should be done before stamps are placed in the envelope, to prevent the impression of the writing onto the stamps inside. The Size #4 glassine is ideal for storage of Plate Number Blocks and Larger glassine envelopes can be used to hold your covers collection
