1920s CAST IRON ANDY GUMP AND OLD 348 AUTOMOBILE TOY IN ORIGINAL PAINT By ARCADE

Very rare and wonderful, large size, 1920’s Cast Iron Toy Andy Gump and Old 348 Automobile manufactured by Arcade.
This highly sought after and substantial, cast iron Toy measures 7” long overall by 6" tall (to the top of Andy Gump's head) by 4" wide. The Toy retains the original, separately cast driver figure that depicts the Newspaper Comics Character Andy Gump. The original grill of the Car features the cast numbers “348” and the Auto retains all four of its original, large, iron disc wheels. There is text cast into the inner surface of the cart that reads "Made by Arcade Mfg. Co. / Freeport, Ill” and Licensed By Sidney Smith Corp." The Toy is complete with a correct replacement crank of the front and a correct replacement “348” license plate on the rear.
This wonderful, Cast Iron Arcade Andy Gump and Old 348 Auto is in very good condition. There are no crack, breaks, chips, repairs or physical damage of any kind. As stated above the Toy retains the original Andy Gump driver, original steering wheel, original grill and original wheels. It comes with correct replacement crank on the front and license plate on the rear. While the wheels Gump figure, steering wheel and grill feature original surface paint and chrome plating, the hood of the vehicle has some overpaint as can be seen in the scans below.
