Rare and original, 1920's Cast Iron Toy “Lindy” Single Engine Airplane manufactured by the Hubley Manufacturing Company. This wonderful, cast iron Plane measures 3 3/4” long and has a 3 1/4" wing span. The top surface of the wings is cast with lettering that reads "Lindy" and “Hubley” and the number “1812” is cast into the underside of the wings. The Airplane retains the vast majority of its original green surface paint, original iron disc wheels and original propeller.
This wonderful, Hubley Cast Iron "Lindy" Airplane Toy is in very good condition. It retains approx. 85% of its original, green surface paint - it has never been repainted, touched-up, restored or altered in any way. There are no crack, breaks, chips, repairs or physical damage to the cast iron. The wheels and propeller are original and both have light surface oxidation.
