ANTIQUE MINIATURE CAST IRON WAFFLE IRON TOY
Adorable antique STOVER JUNIOR cast iron miniature salesman sample or toy measuring 4-3/4" wide (not including handles) and about 1-1/4" deep. Designed so that a little girl could learn to make waffles "Just Like Mother Makes", it is complete with low underplate and two-part waffle cooker. Handles are incised wood, and iron can be pivoted for ease in turning. Marked 8 on each side, it is just so charming and sweet - has actually been extensively used with oil build up on the base that is dark from age - handles sustained some burn marking at the joint - think the little one was not very adept at flipping the iron during the cooking process. Still sturdy and structurally sound - a fun addition to any antique children's toy collection or miniature "adult size" cooking tools - wonderful for display!
