    Description

Rare and original, Large Size, ca1900 Cast Iron, Horse Drawn, Hook and Ladder Fire Truck / Wagon manufactured by the Hubley Manufacturing Company of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This early, Cast Iron Fire Engine / Ladder Wagon measures 34” long overall by 8 1/4" tall (to the top of its ladder racks) and 5" wide (across the horses). The number “126” appear as vertical elements on each side of the Wagon.
The Ladder Wagon is drawn by a team of three, separately cast horses (two black and one white) each measuring 9” long. The Ladder Truck features a red yoke and front wheel assembly and has 4 matching red spoke wheels. It retains its original ladder racks and original bell with working clapper and comes with three replacement ladders and replacement driver and rear fireman. Both the ladder racks and the body of the wagon have a rare, nickel plated surface.
This massive, ca1900 Horse Drawn Fire Truck / Ladder Wagon is in very good condition. There are no crack, breaks, chips, repairs or physical damage of any kind to the cast iron. The surfaces are 100% original - none of the parts have ever been repainted, touched-up, restored or altered in any way. There is some paint loss to the white horse but otherwise the Ladder Wagon retains the vast majority of its original surface paint. The nickel plated surfaces are also generally well preserved with minimal loss and with surface tarnishing that should clean up nicely. As stated above the Ladder Wagon comes with its original ladder racks, three replacement ladders and replacement driver and rear fireman.
A very rare and impressive, Massive Size, ca1900 Hubley Cast Iron Toy, Horse Drawn Fire Ladder Wagon measuring 34" long and a fantastic addition to any Collection!!!

    Important Notes about Shipping Charges:
The amount quoted for Shipping & Handling is calculated by eBay and is equal to the EXACT amount charged by the Post Office plus a .00 "packing fee" - the .00 fee is our only compensation for the virgin packing materials we use on all of our professionally packaged boxes as well as our cost for the salaried help that does most of our packing - as I am sure you can see, we make NO profit on the Shipping charges and, in fact, our costs are usually greater than the .00 fee. Please contact us if there are any issues regarding the cost of shipping.
