Early Taxco Sterling Silver Amethyst 2 1/4" Brooch Mayan Fish and Star Design

DESCRIPTION:
Offered Here is a vintage Hand Wrought Mexican Sterling Silver and Amethyst Pin or brooch. This pin measures 2 1/4" in diameter and is set in the center with a bezel set Amethyst Cabochon. The silver craftsmanship is excellent. There are two stylize Mayan Fish at the top with large eyes and open mouths. It is marked for Taxco in the center and has the makers stamp on the edge but it is unreadable by me. It weighs 19.2 grams.
The brooch has not been polished and retains the original patina.
