SALE -- I have marked these down !!I am selling brand new
"Limited Edition" High Amp
2S(2 cell) 7.4-7.6 volt LiPo battery quick dischargers/conditioners with an
adjustable voltage automatic shutoff
. Would also work for discharging 4-6 cell Nimh and Ni-Cad batteries with an adjustment to the voltage cutoff setting.
A MUST HAVE now for maintaining your Lipo racing batteries at their peak performance, especially for you Stock class racers!!
I say limited edition because I'm not for sure how many of these I will produce. Although these are easier to operate, adjust and the display shows more information, it does not have as fine of an adjustment to the shut-off voltage as my dischargers with the other display I'm also selling, .1 volt compared to .01 volt. It also costs more to make, but it looks "cooler". Myself, I do use this display on my discharger and set the shut-off voltage to 6.9 volts.
My first discharge box I built originally about 5 years ago to discharge my packs safely before charging, after my pit neighbor burnt his arm on my battery discharge light bulbs.
As a stand-alone unit, a big feature over using a discharge resistance bank on the I-charger is it also frees up the 2nd channel for charging so you can run multiple classes. Most other charger/discharger combos only discharge at a very low amp rate and take forever. Already have a quality charger and just need a quality discharger without spending the big bucks for a new one--here you go!!
Discharging works great at helping to keep the internal resistance in your lipo batteries low. I've seen batteries when cycled just once on my discharger cut their internal resistance in half or more. A good way also to cycle your batteries or drain for storage quickly.
Not for anything over 9 volts, as it could damage the discharger. Has internal settings to prevent overload from discharging too high of voltage packs(for example, a 3s lipo pack or 7 cell nimh). Unit has been setup, tested and is ready to go-- plug it in to your 12 volt power supply and lipo battery and hit the button, the discharger does the rest!!
-- Digital display shows pack voltage, discharge amperage and wattage, also the milliamps(amp-hours) removed and the discharge time which can be reset after every use if you choose to.
-- Has 2 rates of discharge, about 23 amps(160+ watts) on the high rate and 15 amps on the low rate depending on the voltage of the pack.
-- Adjustable automatic voltage cut-off setting if you choose to discharge to a different voltage. Adjustable by .1 volt increments on this version.
-- Dual fans keep the unit cool, and prevents damage to your pit area(stuff) from an external discharge bank.
-- Good quality silicone 12 gauge wire on the lipo hookup leads, about 2 1/2 feet of length so the unit can reach your batteries even in your vehicle. Has
4-5mm combo bullet connectors on the leads for most all battery hookup requirements today, you can build an adapter or put on your own if you require deans or some other sort of connector.
-- Requires a 12VDC 2 amp(uses about 1 amp) power source to operate the unit(use an extra hookup on your charger's 12v power supply or a small 12v power source). 4mm bullet connectors installed on the power supply hookup lead.
-- Fold out foot stand on the front of the unit.
--Built by a racer for the racers--Very easy to operate, push the button and let it do it's thing!!
-- Unit is approximately 8" x 7 1/2" x 2 1/2"
