IMPORTANT
This listing is for ONE slide, and only one. The photo shows three to represent the three color choices.
Crafted from real wine bottles, Booze Blues Guitar Slides are handmade in Artesia, Mississippi, by craftsman David Langford.
Being handmade, each one is unique and slightly different from the others.
Lengths available are 2", 2.25", and 2.5". Between the cutting and polishing processes, these lengths will vary slightly but will be very close to one of those three lengths.
This listing is for ONE slide, and only one. The photo shows three to represent the three color choices.
Colors are green, brown, and clear. Colors shown here are representative since actual colors vary slightly from bottle to bottle. Clear bottlenecks may be perfectly clear, or have a slight tint (usually very light blue) to the glass, or have a light frost. (October 2020: Clear may not available at the moment due to a shortage of good, clear bottles.)
IMPORTANT NOTE: 90% of wine bottles have a slight curve or surface defect in the glass neck. These are rejected by David, and the remaining 10% are used to make the slides.
Inside diameters also vary. If you have larger-than-most fingers, feel free to call Allen or Cody at Backstage Music, and we'll measure some slides to help you find the one you need.
>>> If you have a length or color preference, please send a message with that information
when the order is made

About Our Instruments
Need Something Special?
Since May, 1978, Backstage Music has taken care of musicians in North Mississippi and West Alabama. With the advent of the internet, we're now taking care of musicians around the world. That's pretty cool. We have been on Highway 12 in Starkville, MS since we began.
We are a real brick and mortar music store, open 10 AM - 6 PM (Central) every day but Sunday and major holidays (i.e., Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc.)
We opened the store as a Takamine and Pearl dealer, and today we still offer Takamine, Pearl, G&L, LTD, Alvarez, Peavey, and a host of other brands. We don't sell anything we wouldn't own ourselves.
We will take care of your order, and you, as if you were standing here in the store with us. Feel free to call us, and a real person will answer your call. No machines here. We also respond quickly to the eBay message system.
eBay won't allow us to show our number, so to call us, just Google "Backstage Music Starkville", and we'll pop right up.
We've been shipping products for a long time, and we do it very well. We give full attention to all sales, no matter how small or large.
Small items (under one pound) will go USPS First Class with a tracking number. That's a relatively inexpensive but safe way to send strings, drum parts, and other small items. These can be sent to any valid US address, including PO boxes, street addresses, Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, etc.
Items that are in the one to
three-pound
range will probably be shipped USPS Priority Mail. That usually arrives in 2-3 days. These items can be shipped the same as the under-one-pound boxes. These can be sent to any valid US address, including PO boxes, street addresses, Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, etc.
Items over three pounds are probably going to be shipped UPS. These can be delivered only to street addresses in the continental USA. No PO boxes.
International shipping is handled by the eBay Global Shipping program.
IMPORTANT:
Please inspect your purchase as soon as it arrives for shipping damage. If all is well, cool! If you find shipping damage, save all the packaging and contact Allen at Backstage Music within 24 hours so we can start the claim process. Damage is very, very rare, but things can happen.
We're easy to get along with, even on returns.
Return an item within 14 days of receiving it, and we'll refund your money or send you something different.
No hassles. No hurt feelings. Honest, it's okay to make a return.
Just contact us eBay, use eBay's return function. Here's how to do that:
At the top right of your eBay screen, choose My Ebay > Purchase History.
Find the item you'd like to return in the list.
On the right, choose More Actions > Return This item.
That's all there is to it.
Every stringed instrument we sell is handled by us. It is inspected, set up as needed, and new strings installed as needed. Before we ship it to you, we're giving it the once-over again. We'll make sure it's in top-notch playing condition when you receive it.
Most of our stringed instruments are on display in our store. After all, we're a real music store, not just some internet seller. Chances are your guitar, bass, or ukulele has been played several times. This is a good thing, since that gives us several opportunities to find any small issue that the factory might have missed.
If you prefer a specific brand/gauge of strings, let us know. We'll put those strings on for you, and make sure the setup is still good. If anything changes, we'll adjust it before it leaves here. This does take time to do correctly, but we still usually ship instruments within 24 hours of the order.
Here's what we
won't
do: We won't grab an unopened box off the shelf and send it to you, unchecked and unplayed. Nope. Won't do that.
If you need (or just want) something special or need special service, it's okay to ask for that. We'll be glad to do in-hand descriptions, take measurements, whatever you need to make sure you're getting the right thing. Want a quick video of the guitar you're thinking about? Just ask.
We'll do whatever we can to make it happen for you.
eBay won't allow us to show our number, so to call us, just Google "Backstage Music Starkville", and we'll pop right up. Or, use the eBay message system. Do keep in mind if you're calling us at 3 AM, we'll be home asleep, so maybe use the eBay message system. We'll answer as soon as we get your message.
If you need "right away" help, our eBay guy does get eBay messages over his phone at night. And on weekends. And on holidays. And, he'll answer them as soon as he sees them.
